Surrogates by L'Atelier Animal Cracker AC550 Robusto Cigar Review - This 5x50 stick features a very dense, firmly packed oily, slightly toothy dark cocoa wrapper with a closed foot, large double cap with a bump top and pungent hay and cocoa aroma. First light reveals a flawless draw with thick plumes of full bodied smoke showing a deep earth, sweet cocoa that comes with the spicy retro and long warm finish. The first third burns perfectly dropping a solid ash chunk with body settling at medium-full keeping the deep earth and smooth dark cocoa notes with a long finish of the same. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes keeping the complexity and adding a warm bourbon like oakiness to the mix. Ending at 1:15 the last bit just added a touch of strength to the mix.
