NZ Coalition to Rewrite Arms Act, Overturn Rifle Ban

Lawfully owned semi-auto firearms, banned under the previous Jacinda Ardern government, could be making a return to gun ranges very soon, as New Zealand's National and ACT parties have agreed to rewrite the Arms Act of 1983 as part of its coalition arrangement. Justice spokesperson Paul Goldsmith says the next National government will focus law enforcement towards those that commit gun crime, while developing robust and enduring firearms legislation to keep people safe.
