This video will summarize what 19th century Rabbinical scholar turned follower of Jesus, Alfred Edersheim, found concerning the concepts and scenario that 1st century Rabbis were teaching the Jewish people. This will help to explain why many Jews rejected Jesus and why those who did accept Him, had trouble with some of what He said and did. Background - I gradually turned away from the popular End Times view "Dispensational Premillennialism" that I adopted from Hal Lindsey's writings, because its concepts and definition of terms did not match what I found in Scripture, plus it ignored or downplayed important passages that did not fit that narrative. I gradually also realized why these things never came to pass or fit with Biblical information - it was a repackaging of the misguided Rabbinical scenario that kept many 1st century Jews from recognizing Jesus as their promised Messiah in His first coming.
