06 The Rapture & Why You Probably WANT to be "Left Behind"

Many followers of Jesus have been taught to expect that "the righteous will be 'snatched out' of this world - the RAPTURE - before a 7-year tribulation period begins, Antichrist appears, and the world will experience greater evil as it is moved towards the battle of Armageddon!" However, these ideas are found in popular literature and the imaginations of those who have been taught them, but they are not concepts that one learns "from" Scripture, but "read into" the Bible after learning them elsewhere.

The Bible does teach that Jesus will return, the saints will be raised and glorified and join Him in the air, and the words "tribulation / Antichrist / Harmegeddon" do appear in Scripture, but not with the meanings popularly attached to them.

In this video, we will see that none of the proof-texts cited for "the rapture" teach what people think they do, but just the opposite. In fact, Jesus appears to have taught - in three separate passages - that it is the unrighteous who will be "taken/gathered out" first at the end of the age.
