EP076 Sacrificial Love 1 of 9 on Marriage

Today we begin a 9-part series on Marriage. While recently giving a retreat for engaged couples, we realized there is so much to cover with regards to our human nature and how God created us for Marriage. We are not meant to be alone and as Catholic's, we either marry or we are called to the priesthood or religious life but always in community. Marriage is such a community beginning with husband and wife and when their love is sacrificial, they grow spiritually, emotionally, and if God is willing, into a unique human being - a new family of love emerges which can be likened to the Blessed Trinity - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Love so pure, so true, and so complete that a new life comes forth, but it is not always an easy path when hardships hit. In this episode we will talk about how these hardships unfolded and how our perspective is key to enduring certain hardships. Whatever we are faced with, we cannot endure without God's Grace and there is only one way to obtain His Grace - through the Sacraments.
