UFC has built itself up by restricting competition and keeping fighter pay low. Under the current system, MMA is a cheap product to sell. That's one reason it is on so many platforms today. Sponsors can get a lot of eyeballs for their business at a fraction of the cost of other live events, where the athletes make 50% of the profits.
