The Post Office Inquiry has heard today that David Teale, lawyer to former subpostmaster William Quarm would like to make corrections to his submitted statements. These corrections include the subpostmasters confession DELETED from the Witness Statement! William Quarm was convicted previously and has since had his conviction, launched by the Post Office quashed on appeal by four appeal judges. He confirms that there were 'no safeguards' in place to ensure that the Post Office was aware of their responsibilities with regards to prosecuting subpostmasters and that there were no written guidance or protocols.
