The Battle Against Rome.1of2.A Province Too Far

The 1st of this 2-part documentary deals with the search for Arminius' identity. Coming from a simple village of the Cherusci settlement and the dense forests of Germania, the Romans kidnap him under a treaty made between their people and Rome under Emperor Augustus. They educate him and train him as a soldier. He proves himself in the suppression of a revolt against the Romans in Pannonia, and finally returns to his homeland at the side of the Roman governor Varus.
