US struck underground hideouts of Houthis in Yemen

Fighter jets from the US Navy aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower struck three underground storage facilities in areas of Yemen controlled by the Houthis, according to The Times of Israel.
An American official noted that the ship is in the Red Sea.
According to eyewitness accounts and videos, some of which are circulating on social media, explosions were heard in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. The footage shows explosions and smoke rising over the city.
There are no official confirmations of casualties or the source of the explosions. The Yemeni channel Al-Masirah, which is affiliated with the Houthis, reports strikes in the city.
The Houthi rebels in Yemen are allies of Iran and control most of the north and west of the country. In November 2023, they began a campaign of drone and missile attacks on shipping in the Red Sea. This is seen as an attempt to pressure Israel to end its war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Since January 12, the US and the UK, supported by other EU countries, have been regularly striking Houthi targets in Yemen. However, the terrorists continue to attack commercial vessels.
Recently, the Houthis promised China and Russia not to fire at their ships passing through the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
