In the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium there is little hope to give rest to the weary. Some seek it out in faith, others in strength of arms, still others in the past, in things nearly lost and forgotten. Dormiens Rex, a planet of little strategic import to the Imperium, is dotted with ancient structures and ruins, echoes of a civilization now rendered silent. These relics have caught the eye of the priests of Mars. Months of excavation has turned up many strange findings. Now the Mechanicus stands at the precipice.
