Axis War Heroes: Léon Degrelle

This is a film that presents an in-depth look at the life of Waffen-SS General Léon Degrelle. This is a journey from Degrelle’s early life right through until the end. Video footage and images throughout this film are used to illustrate the tale, of one of the greatest positive influences in World War II.

The atrocious behavior of the Bolsheviks and the incredible odds, Degrelle and his men were fighting against are pointed out using quotes from Degrelle himself. Despite being surrounded by slaughter, Degrelle still found the time to take note of the beauty that he saw in the natural surroundings around him and the valor of his comrades. His faith gave him the strength of heart to continue, and though severely wounded on more than one occasion, Léon Degrelle refused to give in.
