Welcome to Chapter 7 of Genesis. In Chapter 6, Noah is given instructions for building a massive ark in order house a small number of people and a massive number of animals. Chapter 7 begins after Noah has completed his task. The time has come for Noah to enter into the ark with his family and the process of destruction and redemption are being played out. Chapter 7 of Genesis emphasizes the importance of patience as Noah has to wait, from the time he is told to build the ark to building the ark and even on the ark to see what and why they are on the ark. But God has a perfect plan whether it's destruction or redemption.
