The Leopard 2A4 is a main battle tank developed by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW), now merged with Nexter Systems to form KNDS (KMW+Nexter Defense Systems). It is an upgraded version of the Leopard 2, which itself is a successor to the Leopard 1 tank.

The Leopard 2A4 was introduced in the 1980s and has seen extensive service in several European countries, including Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Switzerland. It has also been exported to other nations around the world.
