#264 The Overtourism Debate: Is Tourism Ruining The World?

A new thread has emerged, mainly since covid, about tourism ruining famous places to visit. This is a complicated issue because, in many instances, tourists overcrowd many famous places on Earth, but this agenda is coming from governments.
A 2021 documentary called The Last Tourist tries to give out a message that tourism is ruining the world. It makes some decent points, but there's some sketchy strings attached.
We weigh out the debate on overtourism, a phrase being thrown out by the usual suspects who want to destroy our natural right of autonomy and restrict our movement on this planet. We chant down the BS as usual.
