The Assault on the Original SLA Compound (DECLASSIFIED)

The year was 1963, a small rural area about an hour North of Cora, Wyoming, where a secluded farmhouse occupied by strange and secretive people became the center of a National Incident most none have heard about: The raiding of the Symbionese Liberation Army's original Chapter Lodge. Tension and suspicions grew in the community around the SLA Lodge when it was founded a year prior, as more and more bizarrely dressed and poorly groomed beatnik-type young adults trickled into the growing compound. What was once a quiet old farmhouse would soon be transformed into a fortified compound atop a hill. Distant residents could hear regular periods of prolonged gunfire, from the area several times a week, far more in volume than a few friends target practicing. The bank in Marbleton, due South of Cora, was robbed one morning by multiple masked gunmen carrying rifles and machineguns, leaving a trail of bodies and brass that lead to their compound. Soon angered townsfolk amassed and armed with weapons of their own lay siege to the SLA compound for two-days, awaiting the arrival of a small National Guard unit.
