Live From The Bunker 682: Cancel Cult Strikes Again | Target: Ed Piskor

On Monday, we learned that illustrator Ed Piskor had taken his own life after posting a five-page letter that left instructions for his business dealings and possessions, arrangements for his parents, and last wishes for his YouTube channel, Comics Kayfabe.

Over the past few weeks, Piskor was accused of inappropriate behavior involving at 17-year-old artist during the Covid lockdown. Other women came forward, lobbing more accusations of misconduct just weeks before Piskor's art was scheduled to be on display in Pittsburgh. The exhibit plus a pending publishing contract were impacted by the accusations, and Piskor's co-host Jim Rugg distanced himself in an act of self-preservation.

Piskor, in his suicide note, mentions specific people by name, and it's the usual suspects, people who have been associated with both the comics industry and the online "whisper network" that was exposed a number of years ago.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
