The briefing on the progress of the special military operation on the 3rd of April 2024 are as follows:

Continued Operations: The Russian Federation's Armed Forces are persisting with their special military operation across multiple directions.

Kupyansk Direction: Russian forces have engaged Ukrainian military units, repelling attacks and causing significant losses in terms of troops, vehicles, and artillery systems, including U.S.-made M777 howitzers.

Donetsk Direction: Russian forces achieved more advantageous positions, repelled numerous Ukrainian counter-attacks, and inflicted heavy losses on Ukrainian troops, including the destruction of various armored fighting vehicles and artillery systems.

Avdeyevka Direction: The situation along the front line was improved by Russian forces, which also repelled several Ukrainian counter-attacks and inflicted significant troop and equipment losses, including U.S.-made M777 howitzers.

South Donetsk Direction: Tactical situation improvements and significant Ukrainian losses were reported, including the destruction of military vehicles and a BM-21 Grad MLRS combat vehicle.

Kherson Direction: Russian forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian brigades, destroying vehicles, artillery systems, and UAV production facilities, alongside significant Ukrainian troop losses.

Counter-Battery Warfare and Air Defence: Effective counter-battery warfare led to the destruction of various Ukrainian artillery assets. Russian air defense systems successfully shot down Ukrainian UAVs and two U.S.-made JDAM aerial guided bombs.
