Lansing police are putting out a warning that scammers are calling and texting

The scammers are asking people to withdraw money and put it into Bitcoin and send it to them. MSU Federal Credit Union says they are aware of an increase in text message scams and say they do not use texts to contact members and will never ask for a customer's PIN, access code, or other sensitive information to verify their identity.
