With military honors and in the presence of Defense Minister ,General Ali Abbas, the funeral of the martyrs of the Iranian advisors who died in the Israeli aggression on the Iranian Consulate in Damascus took place today from the Military Hospital in Damascus before moving the bodies to Tehran.

‘These martyrs were our partners in fighting terrorism on Syrian soil to purify it from terrorism and its supporters of states, terrorist groups, or organizations.” Minister Abbas said in his speech during the funeral.

“In my name and the name of every military personnel in the Syrian Arab Army, I offer condolences to Iran’s leadership, people, army and officers for the martyrdom of such heroes.” General Abbas added.

The Iranian ambassador to Syria, Hussain Akbari, in turn, said, “This heinous crime committed by the Zionist entity, which was built on murder, crime, and violation of international conventions, constitutes a clear violation to the United Nations and all countries belonging to this international group, before insulting Iran and Syria, which had known the criminal nature of this entity.”

“We confirm that this crime reserves our right to respond at the same level.” the Iranian ambassador Akbari stressed.
