HLN Host Tells Melania Trump — Don't Be Like Hillary Clinton, Leave Your Husband

Cupp recalled the famous interview Hillary Clinton gave with her husband in 1992 in which she said, “I’m not sitting here some little woman standing by my man like Tammy Wynette. I’m sitting here because I love him and I respect him and I honor what he’s been through and what we’ve been through together.”

The HLN host said she’s seen Clinton as “a woman who was humiliated time and again” but “decided to take it.”

Had she left Bill, Cupp argued, some of her arguments on the campaign trail may have carried more weight.

She concluded:

“Melania may not have a political career to consider, but as First Lady she is an inherently important figure in American politics, and women are watching. Particularly young women. Melania should do for this generation of girls what Hillary Clinton did not do for mine, and leave her jerk of a husband.”
