On July 30, 2022, Wisconsin-man Nicolae Miu got into a confrontation with several other tubers on the Apple river. He would end up stabbing five people, killing one--17-year-old Isaac Shuman.

Miu is now charged with murder, and his trial began this past Monday. He is raising the legal defense of self-defense.
