People call the modern woke movement "Marxist, Maoist, Gramscist" among other dated terms that refer to dead, 20th century communist leaders - but none of these term fully explain it. While it has elements of nearly all of past socialist ideologies, it is missing other crucial elements that would, indeed, make it "Maosit" (even if "struggle sessions" are apparent.) socialism is best understood as an evolving project which evolves and changes according to historical circumstances and the directions given to it by its contemporary leaders. Given it was Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez that enacted the 21st century socialist project organizationally and operationally, it is best termed "CastroChavism." One of the defining features of CastroChavism is the organization of numerous, seemingly disparate parties, into a united front of opposition to the west and its democratic norms.
CIA is not the first, or only organization to posit this - as this ideological understanding is commonly accepted throughout Latin America. We are merely the first to outwardly and deliberately make the claim in the English language, in hopes that the anglosphere will catch. What CIA does posit is that this tactical arrangement was brought to US groups by Venezuelan and other foreign agents through the Social Forums - which were the loci of the largest-ever transfer of organizational technology from successful leftist revolutionaries to domestic (US) activists and groups.
