What Led to Recreational Marijuana Bill Not Passing

SB 3335 was the subject of much discussion during its second floor reading on March 22. The bill died because Finance Committee Chair Kyle Yamashita declined to give it a final hearing largely because a majority of the members of the Finance Committee voted against it. Mahalo to all my colleagues who voted NO on this measure.

If you want recreational marijuana to continue to not be legal in Hawaii, make sure to keep an eye on this issue during the next legislative session.
