â’¸ Corcoran 1985 â“… Corcoran BMI 2024

First cut on upcoming record, "Flacco Loco", due out fall/winter 2024. The song was originally written in 1985 (the oldest song of mine still being done) about a NYC neighborhood junkie who robbed my apartment and unsuccessfully tried to get away with my Jensen speakers. Then the lyrics morphed into a description of said-junkie himself, who I named after the speakers. This was subsequently recorded and (originally) released in 1988 during my stint in The Tonebenders, as part of their cassette-only, second album, "Get Bent", along with a re-recorded version on their vinyl EP, "Toin Coss", released later that year. Bone Orchard did play this live often as our set closer, primarily as an excuse for me to squeeze in a cheap-trick guitar solo played with my teeth. But I never did like the way it sounded in either situation back in the day; THIS is what I was looking for.

And, as always now, all instruments and vocals are courtesy of M. Corcoran (the "last man standing").
