The events surrounding the birth of Jesus the Messiah, as recorded in the Gospel of St. Luke. As we read in the Biblical text, Jesus fulfilled the covenant God made with his father David. Also fulfilled the Abrahamic covenant. Jesus was the LORD (Jehovah) himself come in the flesh. A note to Roman Catholics: Mary is NOT to be worshipped, prayed to, looked to for salvation and she is NOT a "co-mediatrix" with Jesus. Bowing to images of Mary and praying to them is IDOLATRY.
