平成6(1994)年、「週刊少年ジャンプ」で連載が始まった｢るろうに剣心 -明治剣客浪漫譚-｣。作者は5月26日が誕生日の和月 伸宏(わつき のぶひろ)氏。この作品が平成8(1996)年にテレビアニメ化されたときのエンディング曲が｢TACTICS｣です。週刊少年ジャンプとしては珍しい明治時代を舞台とした歴史アニメで、歴史上の人物も数多く登場するので、明治時代を歴史の教科書ではなく、漫画で覚えた学生も多かったようです。海外では頬の刀傷から｢サムライX｣、また、流浪する侍という意味で｢Wandering Samurai｣という名称で紹介されているようです。日本には、いろいろな歴史アニメがありますが、お気に入りの歴史漫画はありますか？
