Micheal McCaul and Mike Turner are the biggest proponents of more Ukraine aid in the Republican caucus of the House of Representatives. McCaul is from Central Texas, and he is the Chair of the House Foreien Relations Committee. Turner is from Dayton, Ohio, and he is the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee. Both of these Mikes are putting a lot of pressure on the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, to bring a bill that funds Ukraine up for a vote. Speaker Johnson is under so much pressure, because although he may personally support aid to Ukraine, he knows many in his party don't. McCaul recently said, "I think Russian propaganda has made its way into the United States, unfortunately, and it's infected a good chuck of my party's base."
