BAN has released its countdown of "Boston's Top 10 Political Controversies of 2023."

In this segment, BAN covers two car crashes involving elected politicians in Boston. The first was an incident involving Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, when her vehicle drove through a red light with lights & sirens on, causing a woman and child to crash into them.

The second crash involves Boston City Councilor Kendra Lara (Hicks), after she crashed into a constituent's home while driving without a license in an uninsured, unregistered, and uninspected car. This incident sent her special needs child to the hospital with a head laceration.
