Life-Saving Training: Mindset, Preparation & Equipment | Jonathan Heslep, EMT & Wildland Firefighter

Jonathan Heslep grew up in the mountains of southwest Montana. He has worked in Emergency Services since he was 18 years old, volunteering at three different local departments since 2008. He is currently a Captain/EMT with the Montana City Volunteer Fire Department.

He began his professional career with the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation as a wildland firefighter in 2011, where he still works as the Fire Operations Specialist, overseeing the Helena Unit engine crews.

Jonathan also serves on the Emmanuel Church Security Team and has provided medical classes to several churches in the Helena area. When not busy with his various jobs, he and his young family like to spend their time in the mountains hiking, camping, backpacking, skiing, canoeing, and eating fajitas around a campfire.
