Blackbuck antelope (Antilope cervicapra), native to India and Pakistan, have been introduced to various parts of the world, including Texas, where they are considered an exotic species. They were first brought to Texas in the early 1930s for hunting purposes and have since established populations in certain regions, particularly in the Hill Country and Edwards Plateau areas.
