April 14, 2024, John 12:20-21, "We Would See Jesus" (Live, No Music)

[The rest of the world seeking the same God that Israel used to "see".]
John 12:20-21, certain Greeks had such a desire to see Jesus, that they came to the Passover feast with the Jews (normally non-Jews would not appear at the feast) asking/saying 'we [WOULD] see Jesus'.

Isaiah 42:6, God had appointed His chosen people to open the blind eyes of the rest of the world. However, they did not keep His covenant. They were supposed to be ministers with kingdom authority to the rest of the world (e.g. Gentiles). Nonetheless, God had a plan to save all of Israel and open the eyes of the rest of the world, so all would know God.

Isaiah 55:6, God is near when He has drawn people to Him (people do not naturally initiate the search). When the opportunity then becomes available from God, 'Seek ye the LORD while he may be found'.

Isaiah 55:9, God's ways are not man's ways. The law touches the intent of the heart, but the spiritual things are not perceived by normal senses.

Matthew 15:14, the wide road to nowhere and the leaders and followers in it. A ditch in the ground does not have a standard start or end, but a grave does.

John 1:29, 36, Jesus, the Lamb of God witnessed by John. The same Jesus, certain Greeks had desired to see.

A type of captivity was illustrated here: there was no need to kill what was taken captive, and the captors had power to provide bread and water. 'So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel'.
