United Nations (UN)

The United Nations (UN) is an international organization founded on October 24, 1945, after World War II, with the aim of promoting peace, security, cooperation, and diplomacy among nations. It currently consists of 193 member states. The UN is structured around several principal organs, including the General Assembly, the Security Council, the International Court of Justice, the Secretariat, and specialized agencies such as UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO). Its activities encompass a wide range of issues, including peacekeeping, human rights, humanitarian aid, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
