TOPICS: The first ever criminal trial of a former US president Trump got underway in state court in Manhattan on Monday with the difficult task of finding an impartial jury to sit for a trial that could last months. On his way in to court, former President Donald Trump said the entire trial is «an assault on America» and used social media posts to criticize potential witnesses.
