On Tuesday January 25 IHN hosted a 1 hour webinar with Dr. David Duizer, ND where he outlined a holistic approach to metabolism assessment and treatment. From disrupting metabolism and slowing metabolic rate to causing mental/emotional distress and disordered eating habits, popular weight loss programs often cause more harm than good. Sustainable, reliable, and effective weight loss programs need to be individualized, which comes from understanding how to properly analyze metabolism and calorie-burning efficiency. Through clinical laboratory and functional testing, David is able to determine high-value targets for rapid metabolic improvements and efficient weight loss.

Dr. David Duizer BSc, ND, rmc

Dr. Duizer earned his Bachelors in Science from the Royal Military College of Canada as part of the Regular Officer Training Program in 2008. He graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in 2014. He currently serves as Co-Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Dr. Duizer is co-owner of Noble Naturopathic in Vancouver where he has a private practice focused on integrative chronic disease management. Dr. Duizer has a weekly podcast called Healthy Rebel Radio, he is the Medical Director of online natural weight loss program DAMYHealth.com and his supplement line, Noble by Nature, launched in 2020. Dr. Duizer teaches Nutritional Pathology (NP07) in IHN’s Diploma Program, as well as Understanding Lab Diagnostics in Clinical Practice CEULD in IHN’s Continuing Education Department at the Vancouver Campus.
