Evangelical churches, especially those that have a vested interest in male hierarchy and traditional gender roles (such as the LCMS and WELS), will not ever apologize for these teachings. They will never say they’re sorry. They will never take accountability for teaching these things and telling every woman and man that their marriage has to look like this.
