La Dra. Popel es fundadora y lidera el Movimiento de Asistencia Integral (MAI) desde marzo de 2020, cuenta con más de 500 voluntarios. Un equipo multidisciplinario de profesionales entre los cuales hay médicos, enfermeros, científicos, naturópatas, ingenieros, psicólogos y terapeutas para ofrecer una solución integral a los problemas de salud. MAI funciona como una organización civil sin ánimo de lucro que atiende pacientes en todo el Estado Español. Primero de todo, «no hacer daño», así se llama el grupo de chat a través del cual decenas de profesionales de la salud atienden a pacientes enfermos, que requieren una solución urgente. Ya han resuelto más de 4.000 consultas.

La Dra. Popel es médico de urgencias desde hace más de 18 años en el Hospital Mateu Orfila (Menorca) con especialidades en Electrocardiología, Ecosonografía, Medicina Familiar y Medicina Comunitaria; es funcionaria como médica con plaza vitalicia obtenida por concurso de oposición, superviviente al cáncer y; como ex-paciente oncológico y médica, investigó y se hizo experta conocedora de todas las alternativas convencionales y no convencionales para el tratamiento de «enfermedades difíciles».

Actualmente, compagina su trabajo como médica con su apoyo a movimientos civiles para la recuperación de «la verdadera medicina saludable».

Currently, she combines her work as a doctor with her support for civil movements for the recovery of "true healthy medicine".
