On March 22, 2024, Republican candidate Keith Truenow for FL Senate Dist. 13 presented his track record as FL House Rep. and ideas for the Florida Senate at a “Coffee with the Republican Candidates” at the Tavares HQ of the Lake County, FL Republican Party.

This FL Senate Seat is being vacated by retiring Dennis Baxley, so there is no incumbent. Republican opponents for this seat include Ebo Entsuah and Bowen Kou. Another filed opponent, CJ Blanchet has refused to appear at a “Coffee with the Candidates” and in MY opinion (Vance Jochim), she is not a serious candidate.

These “coffee” events are considered neutral territory for candidates and only written questions are taken from the audience and asked of the appearing candidates.
