Parables of Jesus – Talk #15

In this talk we continue looking at parables that explore the contrast between Jesus's concept of what makes a person acceptable to God (righteous) and the concept of righteousness held by the religious leaders. We look at the parable about picking out a place of honor at a dinner (Luke 14:7–11), the parable about the friend at midnight (Luke 11:5–8) , the parable about the widow and the unrighteous judge (Luke 18:1–8), and the parable about the two brothers' response to their father's instructions (Matthew 21:28–32).
