How Iran Fooled Israel & Its Allies

Iran's strategy continues to baffle western analysts. Not only was this a clever intelligence-gathering operation, but it was a display of Iran's prowess in coordinating a sophisticated attack. Given the fact that Iran warned Israel and its allies of its impending attack and announced its conclusion before ascertaining the targets hit, indicates that this attack was never about causing any serious damage to Israeli infrastructure. it had a strategic purpose and showed Iran's newfound ability to synchronise a sophisticated aerial attack with 4 other neighbouring countries. A feat never accomplished before by Iran and even NATO. Israel on the other hand, has many risks should it decide to retaliate. For one, it risks isolating it self in the region as even though some Arab countries assisted in their defence, most would not in a counterattack. But more importantly, Israel risks a wider conflict on several fronts with Hezbollah and Iran and no doubt, if Iran's existence is in jeopardy, Russia will come to its aid. So we await with bated breath on Israel's response.
