Chasing The Truth About Keeping Up With The Neighbors - Just Shooting The Breeze l Episode 32

Is it a rule of thumb to adhere to your neighbors’ standards of living? Should you abide by how someone else feels your property should look or should it be a personal preference? These are tough questions because believe it or not, the outside appearance of your home may negatively impact the value of your neighbor’s property as well as your own. These are the topics we are discussing on today’s episode. So, get your drink ready and toast with us as we begin another episode of the You Heard What I Said Podcast.

While these questions are more on the broader side of the debate, how do the smaller things affect your neighborhood? Is it okay to leave your trash bins outside a little longer after the trash has been collected, especially if you work a full-time job? Does your grass need to be cut every week or is every two weeks acceptable when providing a welcoming and well-manicured look to the neighborhood. Lawn car and garbage pickup is just part of it, what about washing your vehicle in your driveway or performing maintenance on your vehicle in your front yard? Being a homeowner is a lot of responsibility and there is an enormous amount of upkeep that goes along with it. The fact remains that we are all for keeping our neighborhood safe and appealing.
