How to make chocolate crust .
Ingredients for chocolate shortcrust:
220 g of flour
30 g of cocoa powder
125 of cold butter
60 ml of very cold water
1 spoonful of sugar
1 pinch of salt.
Elboration:
Mix all the dry ingredients and add the butter cut in small pieces.
Crumble the butter with your fingers until a sandy texture is achieved.
Add the cold water.
It is necessary to integrate all the ingredients without kneading, just work in the dough with your fingers.
When it is formed, fold and cover with plastic.
Let it rest in the fridge for half an hour.
Stretch the dough and cover a cake pan, previously greased.
Prick the whole surface with a fork.
Cover the dough with baking paper and put vegetables to make weight.
Bake for 15 minutes at 180º C (350º F)
Remove the vegetables and paper and bake again.
Now 10 minutes at 180º C (350º F)
Let it cool completely and remove the base from the mold (optional). The shortcrust is ready to use as a cake base.
You can fill it as you like.
