Why is 'Alternative' Media suddenly promoting Jesus?

Just out of interest ... why are so many members of the Mainstream 'Alternative' Media (MAM) suddenly promoting Jesus? Christianity has always dominated the MAM, especially in the US, but now others are 'converting' to the theme. People must believe what they choose. I have no problem with that. It's just becoming ever more obvious that a shift is happening.
Intelligent and thoughtful suggestions would be welcome for why this is. Simply 'because Jesus is Lord' will not suffice as an explanation for what is going on, but feel free.
