In an age of endless entertainment and quick fixes, the call to return to the foundational truths of our faith has never been more urgent. Today, we focus on why we must move away from the reliance on entertainment and gimmicks in our spiritual practices and anchor ourselves in the Word of God.

1. The Power of God's Word Over Human Wisdom**
- **Scripture:** 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
"My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power."

2. The Sufficiency of Scripture**
- **Scripture:** 2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

3. The Dangers of Itching Ears**

"For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."
