Not Alone - An Orphan Mentality

Has the church taken on an orphan image rather than sonship that hears and see's what the Father is doing in Christ by the Holy Spirit? Jesus said it was profitable that He go and send the Spirit, and that greater works is to be manifested on earth as it is in heaven as the result. How much awareness do we have of the ministry of the Spirit as He is given as a constant, not here and there, only when we need Him?
