Jackaroo - Story and Song - Traditional song

Jackaroo, also known as, Jack A-Roe, Jack Monroe, Jackero and many other names, is a traditional folk song that dates back to at least to 1830 and possibly much older than that according to Wiki. A lady dresses up as a man so she can be with her own true love in the war. In those times women were not allowed to fight in war. This theme is in many different folk songs. I tell a story before singing and playing it on the guitar. I use sort of what is known as, the Carter scratch right hand pick strum technique.
