Roman Proverb - Cui bono?
Roman Proverb:
Cui bono?
"To whose benefit?"
A Latin phrase that was heavily used in criminology in order to establish a potential crime suspect. A very simple logic implying that the person who benefited off the crime most likely is the perpetrator himself.
*note: the first word of this phrase is notoriously mispronounced as "qui". When "u" follows a consonant it never is pronounced as "u" in "qu" sequence. It is pronounce as a full vowel /u/, similar to that in the English word "moon".
