We've been making all sorts of amazing dairy products from our raw milk. Do you know a local farmer who offers raw milk? If not, find one. The flavor is sooo much better!

Often you can find herd shares or other legal means for obtaining raw milk, because unlike the rest of the world, most of the US has outlawed selling raw milk in a lot of states for humans. So many farms offer her shares where you own a portion of the herd and you are entitled to a portion of the weekly milk YOUR cow produces. It's ridiculous that something as wholesome as raw milk has essentially been outlawed in North America while places like Europe readily allow it from small farm operations.

Somehow it's "safe" to sell twinkies, oreos, and all manner of fast foods that won't decay if you leave it out on the counter for a year... but raw milk from a farmer you trust... is evil. What sense does that make?

If you know a local farmer selling herd shares, consider supporting them or if they offer "pet milk", consider buying that for your dog or cat.. Maybe some of it spills into your coffee, your cereal, or magically turns into homemade butter.
