The last administration with David Schaffer as GOP chair, if he wouldn’t have been indicted the 3 electors may not have been covered by the GOP for their legal fees. David Schaffer when he chose not to run for reelection, he put out a statement with all the reasons why he wouldn’t run for the GA GOP Inc and in the last paragraph he would hand it over to Josh McKoon.

Josh McKoon had not announced the run for chair. Schaffer did it for him. There was a fear that someone else that would have been elected the legal fees would not have been paid. Josh comes out always saying that he will continue to raise money to cover the legal fees and get Trump elected. Currently the legal fees are $1.7M.
