Sadly I believe this colony had been sprayed with an insecticide, they died within 24 hours. Even if I had lost the queen, they wouldn't have all died immediately, I put a frame of brood and food in with them....... so the only logical answer is a neighbor freaked out and sprayed when the 90 year old owner of house was not up.
