Snyder claimed he was working on a highly secretive underground base on the Jicarilla Apache reservation in New Mexico near Dulce, a Colorado border town.

But he became suspicious of the project's true intention when he found out that American Special Forces were operating in and around the area.

At the time Snyder said he began construction on the underground base just like he would any other base by drilling holes.

His team drilled four large holes to stand away to start construction, but what emerged from the holes was not at all part of a standard procedure.

All the blackness through the air came up when we drilled the holes there, Snyder said in the lecture at the 1995 Preparedness Expo.
